Prayer Wheels is a kinetic sculpture that pays homage to the ready-mades of Duchamp, references DJ turn-tables and re-imagines the phone as a spiritual communication device.  Magnets on the spinning wheels open and close reed switches.  These switches are coupled to produce a logical AND relationship, controlling the flow of electricity to the ringer in the phone.
